Species
Species are plants that have not been hybridized. Most plants that were originally jungle-collected were species. In many cases, through generations of careful breeding within a single species, the quality of the plants has been improved. Plants marked as 4N are tetraploids, which means that their cells contain double the normal diploid number of chromosomes, which often leads to bigger and better flowers.
