Vanda Thonglor Beauty x Vanda tessellata alba is a very promising new hybrid using a great cultivar of V. sanderiana! Vanda Thonglor Beauty (first photo) is a wonderful complex Vanda hybrid with 80% of its background composed of V. sanderiana, which accounts for the large V sanderiana type flowers. The trouble with V. sanderiana is that although it is beautiful, it can grow into a huge, unwieldy plant. Here, it is combined with Vanda tessellata alba (second photo) to reduce plant size and to increase floriferousness. The results could be extraordinary.
Growing in 3.5″ pots and probably 1-2 years from blooming.
