Description
Back in the 60s, at the height of Cattleya breeding, there was Blc Norman’s Bay, which produced a ton of awards (26 according to Orchidwiz), but the plants were kind of sprawling and hard to keep in the pot. Then along came C. Horace, which was maybe the most important Cattleya ever for breeding large purples. Blc Saint Catherine’s Creek is a cross of those 2 flowers and its growth habit, as well as its flowers, are about perfect. I have 1 or 2 of these left.
