Bc Maikai is a lovely primary hybrid of Brassavola nodosa and Cattleya bowringiana. The result is a fairly short but extremely vigorous plant that flowers with numerous stems of 5 or 6 flowers per stem, around Christmas. This easy-to-grow plant is a clone of the ‘Louise’ cultivar, which was awarded an AM/AOS in 1987 and is classified as a classic Cattleya.
These are mature blooming size plants in 5″ or 6″ pots with more than 20 growths per plant. They will bloom again in December.
